Eligibility Criteria:
- Residency and Nationality: Candidates must fulfill certain residency and nationality requirements.
- A first or upper second-class Honours degree from an Irish or UK institution (or its equivalent) is required for academic credit.
- Students in their last year who will graduate by June 2025 may apply, as long as they achieve the necessary outcomes.
- Candidates must show that they are capable of doing and reaping the rewards of PhD-level research.
- Candidates are ineligible if they have held or are enrolled in a doctoral program for more than a year.
- Research Alignment: DAERA’s Research Needs 2025 must be met by the proposed study.
- Funding Requirements: In addition to the DAERA Studentship, applicants are not permitted to hold another grant that covers maintenance and fees.
