Eligibility Criteria:
Startups and SMEs from WIPO’s 193 member nations are eligible to enter the Global Awards competition.
Regarding SMEs:
- must be a business that is registered and has the required registration documentation.
- There cannot be more than 300 workers in the workforce.
- Sales should reach up to $15 million USD annually.
- must possess at least one Intellectual Property (IP) right that is registered.
- Products or services must be exported to a minimum of one additional nation.
- ought to exhibit a constructive contribution to the advancement of society.
Regarding Startups:
- There cannot be more than 50 workers in the workforce.
- must have documentation of involvement with a business support group (such as an accelerator or incubator).
- At least one commercial client must be engaged, a business transaction must be completed, or an investor must be found in order to demonstrate commitment.
