The Shawki Saad Scholarship is a program that Imperial College London is glad to provide to students from sub-Saharan Africa who wish to conduct research in any of the College’s academic fields. For the selected applicant, this fully funded scholarship covers three years of tuition fees abroad, a maintenance income of £20,622 for three and a half years, and travel expenses like airfare and visa fees. The scholarship, which is funded by a kind endowment from the late Professor Shawki Saad, will be given to one qualified student who typically resides in sub-Saharan Africa each year between 2023 and 2026.
A student prize that honors exceptional sustainability-related research in sub-Saharan Africa was introduced alongside this new scholarship program.
Eligibility Criteria :
- A student from sub-Saharan Africa is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- must be submitting an application to Imperial College London’s PhD program.
- must fulfill the requirements for admission to the College’s PhD program.
