Emerging professionals who are enthusiastic about the nexus between architecture and urban development are supported by the Gottfried Böhm Scholarship. This residency program, which is based in the vibrant city of Cologne, provides a special chance to work on innovative and creative projects that investigate the urban fabric of the city and its environs.

Postgraduate-level architects and urban planners are encouraged to further their skills at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (TH Köln) by applying for the coveted 2025 scholarship. This one-year residency, which is sponsored by Henriette Reker, the mayor of Cologne, offers a monthly salary of €2,500, free housing, and a dedicated creative workspace in the heart of Cologne to a chosen group of fellows.

The best applicants will have a track record of showing an interest in the connection between urban planning and architectural design. Innovative ideas that carefully incorporate new structures into their surroundings are encouraged by the program. Following a two-week exhibition in the Spanish Building’s atrium, scholars will present their work at a celebratory event at Cologne City Hall at the end of the stay.
