For up to three years during their undergraduate education, care-experienced and alienated students in the UK can get free housing under the Unite Foundation Scholarship 2025/2026. The purpose of this scholarship is to alleviate housing-related difficulties by offering a secure living situation that enables students to concentrate on their studies and personal growth.
Applicants must be estranged from both parents, care leavers, or care experienced (in Scotland) in order to qualify. Additionally, they must have UK home fee status and be beginning or finishing their first undergraduate degree in September 2025. For the duration of their study, applicants must be care leavers or estranged students who have received or are applying for tuition fee and maintenance grants through Student Finance.
Aston University, Bournemouth University, Glasgow Caledonian University, University College London, and numerous other UK universities are among those offering the scholarship.
For a maximum of three years, including the summer, the scholarship covers rent and utility costs for free ensuite housing in Unite Students homes. Additionally, it provides complete housing support, meaning that students can live in safe homes for the duration of their degree program without having to pay rent or other expenses.
Students must fill out the application form on the Unite Foundation website and provide the required paperwork, which includes proof of their care leave status and student finance application.
