The METI AI and Tech Talent Internship in Japan 2025 is now accepting applications. Participants in this fully sponsored overseas internship are placed in tech, AI, and IT-related Japanese organizations. Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) is sponsoring the 1.5-month program, which runs from October 31 to December 15, 2025. One to five interns will be chosen by each host company.
Students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and graduate degrees are eligible, and there is no application fee or requirement for Japanese language skills. Eligibility Criteria :
- accessible to nationals of nations on the DAC List of ODA Recipients.
- Candidates must be living outside of Japan at the moment.
- Candidates must be either recent graduates (within the last three years) or enrolled students (with graduation anticipated).

- The proficiency in Japanese must be below the JLPT N5 level.
