Applications for the 2025 African Young Women Leaders Fellowship Program, which is exclusively for young Nigerians, are now being accepted by the UNDP in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC). Offering monthly stipends, this fully financed 12-month program seeks to empower African youth, especially women, in the areas of education, employment, entrepreneurship, and civic involvement. Fellows will work on important development issues like climate change, peace and security, energy, and economic transformation in UNDP offices around the world (except from areas of hardship). For the fourth cohort, up to 40 young women will be chosen.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Gather information, evaluate it, and carry out studies about Agenda 2063 and the SDGs.
- Examine creative solutions that fit the UNDP’s Renewed Strategic Offer in Africa’s six impact areas.
- Draft reports, presentations, and research articles
- Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings both internally and externally.
- Help put gender, youth, climate change, resilience, and security programs into action.
- Participate in field operations as required.
- Encourage cooperation and contact with important stakeholders and government representatives.

- Fellows are not allowed to work remotely; they must move to their designated duty location.

- The fellow’s medical insurance and travel expenses will be paid for.
- Family members’ expenses (such as travel, visas, education, or health insurance) are not covered by the program.
