The CNN Academy Training Program 2025 is a fully financed program created to give aspiring Global South storytellers the necessary tools to use narrative to effect meaningful change.
The program, which takes place in Abu Dhabi, focuses on practical instruction in mobile journalism and storytelling methods under the guidance of knowledgeable teachers from CNN Academy. From vaccination fairness and humanitarian disasters to the tenacity of frontline workers, participants will have the ability to create gripping tales on important global concerns.

Eligibility Criteria :
- must reside and work in a country in the Global South, which includes developing countries in Asia, Africa, or Latin America and the Caribbean.
- ought to identify as a journalist, storyteller, or content creator in their early career.
- A portfolio with pertinent work must be included.
- Fluency in written and spoken English as well as strong communication abilities are necessary.
- should demonstrate a dedication to attending the entire training course and using the knowledge they acquire in their reports.
- Traveling to Abu Dhabi for the CNN Academy Simulation in November 2025 is a must.

Program Structure :
Phase 1: Online Instruction (July to October 1, 2025)

Phase Two: In-person Instruction and Modeling (Abu Dhabi, November 2025)
- Practical instruction in Abu Dhabi.
- Under the direction of CNN Academy’s knowledgeable experts, concentrate on mobile journalism strategies and narrative approaches.
