Instagram DMs Now Editable, Threads Introduces Seamless Gestures!

Published:

Meta released new dynamic features for Instagram and Threads. The modifications enhance functionality. Instagram users have long wanted the ‘Edit’ tool for direct messages (DMs). Long-pressing the DM, choosing “Edit,” and resending it within 15 minutes now allow for editing.

Instagram adds the ability to turn on or off read receipts in DMs, allowing users to send or not send a read message. Stickers, GIFs, videos, photographs, and voice communications improve interaction by providing ‘replay’ options. By pinning up to three chats for quick access, users can personalise their DM experience. Themes, which change the chat interface’s backdrop and message bubble colours, are also available.

Meta’s other app, Threads, is also updated. The current software version supports similar motions, but these features and read receipts are still to emerge. Users easily swipe right to like and left to hide posts. Interaction is quick under the For You tab.

With these upgrades, the Meta promises a more fun and engaging Instagram interface. Social media changes, and you may follow or fall behind. Use these great new features to improve your social media game!
