Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualifications to Serve as a Council Employee or Ambassador:
- Candidates must be current Belfast City Council workers or One Young World Ambassadors who have attended a One Young World Summit in the past. This guarantees that applicants are already engaged in civic service in Belfast or have some link to the OYW mission.
- Demonstrated Community Impact: Applicants have to have a proven history of promoting progress. This involves spearheading or participating in projects that have had a noticeable, quantifiable impact on Belfast or the communities around it, whether they be community-focused, educational, environmental, or social activities.
- Continuous Involvement with the One Young World Community: Candidates must demonstrate a definite and constant dedication to remaining active in the One Young World community. This could be taking part in OYW-related activities, helping out other ambassadors, exchanging information, or carrying on with projects that assist OYW’s worldwide objectives.
Benefits:
- Complete Summit Access: Selected attendees will be granted free admission to the Munich, Germany-hosted One Young World Summit in 2025.
- Free Lodging: During the Summit (3–6 November 2025), hotel accommodations in Munich will be offered without charge.
- Covered Travel Expenses: Belfast City Council will pay for the participant’s round-trip airfare from their nation of residence to Munich.
