The British Academy International Writing Workshops 2025–26 are now accepting applications. Early-career researchers in the humanities and social sciences from developing nations are the focus of this program. To improve research writing and boost publication success, the program provides thorough instruction, career development, and mentorship. The workshops, which are run by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and funded by the International Science Partnerships Fund, offer beneficial connections to journal editors, academic networks, and global publishing prospects. The two-year program, which has substantial funding of up to £30,000, is scheduled to start as early as March 21, 2026. This is a great chance for early-, postdoctoral, mid-, and senior researchers to hone their academic writing abilities and publish in prestigious publications.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Researchers from underdeveloped nations are welcome to apply.
- A postgraduate degree or comparable research experience is required of the lead applicant.
- In the UK, Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, or any Least Developed Country (LDC), they must have a permanent job in a university or qualified research facility.
- Proposals must address issues pertinent to poor nations in order to qualify for ODA (Official Development Assistance).
- At least one researcher from Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, or an LDC must be included in each submission.
- Only projects that meet ODA criteria are given funding.
- Workshops will be held in one of the eligible countries, including LDCs.
