Tibetan students can now apply for fully financed undergraduate and graduate scholarships through the Dalai Lama Trust’s 2025 Annual Scholarship Program. Eligibility Criteria:
Academically Promising Students:
- For students who have shown consistent academic effort but did not achieve high marks in their Class XII board exams
- Requires a school recommendation using Form B
Morally Upright Students:
- For students recognized for their honesty, sincerity, and good behavior
- Must be supported by a school recommendation using Form B
Students from Vulnerable Backgrounds:
- Includes orphaned, semi-orphaned, or students from financially destitute families
- Must be verified and recommended by the Tibetan Settlement Officer using Form A
Additional Eligibility Conditions:
- Must hold a valid Green Book (GB) with contributions paid up to March 31, 2024
- Must possess a valid Registration Certificate (RC)
- Applicants from Nepal, Bhutan, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, and Gangtok must obtain settlement verification
- Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarship
- Only students pursuing degree-level programs are eligible (vocational or certificate courses are not supported)
