The scholarship, which will start in Spring 2026, pays students tuition in full and offers a stipend of $26,159 to $27,794 per year for six consecutive semesters.In order to complete the study, two graduate assistants and summer field technicians will collaborate on every facet of gathering field data. Eligibility Criteria :

  • It is necessary to have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Wildlife Biology, Zoology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Candidates must fulfill the prerequisites for admission to WTAMU’s M.S. in Biology program.
  • For all undergraduate science-related courses, a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Although not required, prior knowledge of venomous snakes is preferred.
  • It’s crucial to be willing to receive instruction and show that you can handle dangerous snakes properly.
  • While not necessary, prior knowledge with GIS applications, radiotelemetry, and R programming is desired.
  • Students must commit to spending 2.5–3 years on the project and earning their M.S. degree at WTAMU over the project’s 38-month duration.
