Austria’s Helmut Veith Scholarship 2025–2026 is open to exceptional and driven female master’s students. The Vienna Center for Logic and Algorithms (VCLA) is offering the scholarship to women who are enrolled in English-taught master’s programs in computer science at TU Wien beginning in the winter of 2025–2026, summer of 2026, or winter of 2026–2027. The prize, which honors the legacy of famed computer scientist Helmut Veith (1971–2016), encourages women in technology and advances gender equality. Candidates must be proficient in English and possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline. This fully funded fellowship offers a stipend of €7,000 per year in addition to complete tuition coverage. It is crucial to have a strong academic record and be interested in Helmut Veith’s research topics.
Eligibility Criteria :

- Candidates must be qualified to enroll in one of TU Wien’s master’s programs in computer science that are taught in English beginning in 2025–2026.
Programs that qualify include:
- Master of Computation and Logic
- Data Science Master’s degree
- Business Informatics Master’s degree
- Computer Engineering Master’s degree
- Media and Human-Centered Computing Master’s degree
- Master’s degree in Internet computing and software engineering
- It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline.
Strong technical and quantitative skills, as well as a passion for any of Helmut Veith’s study topics:
