Emergency landing in Albuquerque as American Airlines passenger attempts mid-air exit.

After a passenger tore off an emergency exit, American Airlines Flight 1219 made an emergency return to Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico. Many passengers struggled with the attacker and confined him on the floor, preventing a national disaster.
American Airways declared an emergency landing on its Chicago-bound flight due to belligerent passengers. It landed safely, and the cops welcomed it.
Unfortunately, the event is one of 250 FAA flight crew reports of disruptive flights in recent years. Since air traffic resumed after covid-19, the amount of delays in early 2022 has increased from roughly 6,000 in 2021.

Around 20 minutes into the trip, passengers were startled by commotion. It started as a brawl but turned out to be a passenger opening an emergency escape. The man forced the glass between the door handle and the muff to blow while sitting in the emergency exit seat. Eyewitness Blaze Ward saw the switch pushed, causing a strange pressure difference.
Flight attendants used duct tape and flexi cuffs to recover control after the jet landed again at the airport after quick-witted passengers restrained the unruly individual. Videos of the heated brawl showed passengers’ evident desire to defend everyone.
The FAA and FBI Albuquerque Division are investigating the event. The tape shows police bringing a person off the plane, but charges are still pending and an arrest has not been made. This unsettling event highlights one of the numerous issues aviation businesses face in ensuring passenger safety amid increased disruptive activity.
