An Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis kills 17 people amid ceasefire talks.

Palestinian sources reported 17 deaths in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, after an Israeli attack on Tuesday. After failed ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, the strike happened.

Civil Defense first responders released heartbreaking images of rescuers dragging dead and wounded people, including a youngster with blood on his face, from a home debris. The adjacent European Hospital received 17 bodies overnight.


Israeli military officials acknowledged targeted attacks on terrorist facilities in Khan Younis and emphasized civilian evacuation.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reports 30,631 Palestinians impacted by the almost five-month fighting, including these latest fatalities. The government does not separate civilians and combatants in its data.

In the current situation, the US and Jordan performed another humanitarian airdrop over northern Gaza, where Israeli soldiers have been isolated for months. U.S. Central Command said that Air Force C-130s delivered 36,800 meals, the second since Saturday.
