IWMF Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship For Journalists 2025 in USA | Fully Funded

Published:

For women and non-binary journalists worldwide, the IWMF Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship 2025 in the USA is a special chance to begin a fellowship adventure in the United States. This transformative program, which is supported by the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF), focuses on social justice and human rights problems. With the flexible structure offered by the Journalism Fellowship, Neuffer fellows can focus on their academic studies and hone their journalistic abilities. Former fellows have actively contributed, under their byline, to a number of media venues. This six-month scholarship offers a fantastic opportunity to study in the United States. It starts in February 2025 and ends in July.

Additionally, the Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship for 2025 is fully supported and provides a set monthly stipend to help with living expenses. For a selected group of fellows, the IWMF relieves financial worries by providing lodging arrangements, transportation between fellowship cities, and round-trip economy class flights. Participants in the fellowship will work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Center for International Studies for four months, starting in February and ending in May. Here, fellows will work with the IWMF to create programs that support academic research and hone their social justice and human rights reporting abilities. After that, in June or July, Neuffer Fellows will move to New York City to work as full-time interns at The New York Times.

Fellows will participate in a variety of activities throughout the fellowship, such as auditing courses, going to seminars, working independently on research projects, and getting practical experience in newsrooms. Additionally, they will be able to observe classes at Harvard and other neighboring universities. This award honors the memory of The Boston Globe correspondent Elizabeth Neuffer, who died tragically in 2003 while covering events in Iraq.
