Attend the fully subsidized International Youth Conference on Biodiversity (IYCB) in Yokohama, Japan in 2024 to immerse yourself in Japanese culture. This conference, which is set for August 25–31, 2024, hopes to bring together more than a hundred young people from all around the world to interact, work together, and share experiences and interests in biodiversity.
This conference aims to empower youth as agents of change for biodiversity preservation through collaboration with the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), the Japan Biodiversity Fund, the City of Yokohama, the Ministry of Environment of Japan, and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity. Goals of the Conference:
- Encourage young people to share their thoughts on the preservation of biodiversity in a variety of fields.
- Get young people involved in global biodiversity projects.
- Help young people create projects that promote biodiversity in their communities.
Selection Standards:
- Participation in an organization or community aimed at promoting youth biodiversity.
- Age requirement: At the time of the conference, participants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Every application needs to be sent in in English.
