Program Advantages:

  • Fellows will be provided with an all-expenses-covered trip to Geneva to attend the Meeting of the Working Group on the strengthening of the Convention.
  • Prior to the field visit, fellows will participate in a month-long online workshop tailored to equip them for the Working Group meeting.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must not exceed 35 years of age at the time of fellowship application. Eligibility for the fellowship requires candidates to hold citizenship in a country designated as a low- or middle-income BWC State Party by the OECD’s Development Assistance Committee. Applicants are advised to verify their country’s status on this list to ensure eligibility
  • Applicants must have completed a degree in life sciences or a related field from a recognized university or institution. Those with backgrounds in social sciences, but with a keen interest in biosecurity and health security, may also be considered. Additionally, aspiring candidates must demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English
