WhatsApp Introduces Voice Message Transcription Feature

Published:

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is about to debut a new voice note feature that will be more interesting. In the current iOS and Android WhatsApp beta, automatic voice transcription is being developed.

The next edition of the technology will let users convert voice communications into text, making communication easier and faster. The main benefit is that it saves time for those who receive long, sound messages, allowing them to swiftly grasp and answer.

In noisy situations or while multitasking, users can read transcribed text messages with their hands without playing the audio.

WABetaInfo estimates that the WhatsApp transcript app will need to download 150 MB of data. Thanks to end-to-end encryption for privacy and security, speech recognition continues while adding storage space.

This feature is now in the beta versions of WhatsApp, so it may soon be available to all users in the stable version of the upcoming WhatsApp update. WhatsApp has not yet confirmed a release date. WhatsApp regulars may find this feature beneficial. Voice message transcription and other new features will work better.
