Fully Funded | GIST Scholarship 2024 in South Korea (Fall Intake)

Online applications are now being accepted by the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) for the Autumn 2024 intake. Global applicants are welcome to apply for the GIST Scholarship 2024, which is offered for master’s, master’s leading to doctoral, and doctoral degree programmes. Located in Gwangju, South Korea, GIST is a well-known university that has been listed among the top 100 universities globally for several years. In 2023, it was named first in Korea for startup performance and entrepreneurship. September 2024 is when the autumn intake is expected to start.

The GIST Scholarship, which includes tuition, meals, housing, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and airfare, is automatically available to international students. Exemption from English Language Proficiency Testing:

  • All programs at GIST University are taught in English, allowing applicants to apply without an English language proficiency test. However, selected candidates must provide their test scores later.
  • Applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA) are exempt from providing an English Proficiency Test result.
  • For other applicants, submission of an official English proficiency test score such as TOEFL (IBT, PBT), IELTS, TOEIC, or TEPS is mandatory.
  • Required minimum scores:
  • TOEFL: iBT 80, PBT 550
    • IELTS: 6.5
    • TOEIC: 750
    • NEW TEPS: 285

  • Open to applicants from all countries.
  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Korean bachelor’s degree.
  • Submission of all required documents is mandatory.
