RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme 2024 | Up to £5,000

The RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme 2024 is now accepting applications. Early career researchers and global health professionals from throughout the world who have never received funding beyond £5,000 are encouraged to apply. Funding for one-year projects involving tropical medicine and global health across research spectrums is available, with grants of up to £5,000. Within three months of receiving RSTMH financing, projects must get underway. Founded in 1907, RSTMH is a membership association and charity dedicated to improving tropical medicine and world health. With members from more than 90 countries, RSTMH provides a range of opportunities and initiatives to further its goals. These include of peer-reviewed publications, recognition prizes, and grants for early career researchers. The strategy of RSTMH is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addresses the social, economic, and environmental determinants of health globally, as well as animal and planetary health. RSTMH will be hosting a webinar to provide more information about the program and application procedure.

2024 RSTMH Early Career Grants:

In 2024, RSTMH will be providing at least 230 grants

RSTMH Early Career Grant Duration: Up to one year.

Eligibility Criteria of RSTMH:

  • Applicants must not have previously received research funding exceeding £5,000 in their own name.
  • Applicants should be prepared to conduct their research under supervision.
  • Individuals from any part of the world are eligible to apply for this grant.
  • Applicants should possess the drive to enhance their understanding of research methodologies and discipline.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated the capacity to generate data under supervision.
  • An applicant should demonstrate a solid comprehension of their field of study.
  • Candidates should be proficient in critical analysis and evaluation, enabling them to synthesise new and intricate ideas.
  • Applicants are expected to articulate the outcome and significance of their research to peers.
  • Although membership in RSTMH is required to receive funding, applications are open to everyone.
  • Successful applicants who are not already RSTMH members may have their membership sponsored by one of the organiser’s partners, or the cost may be deducted from the award.
