Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must show a discernible influence on hunger, poverty, health, nutrition, quality of life, and well-being, as well as a substantial impact on food quantity, quality, availability, or access.

- There is no restriction on the number of nominations that any one body may submit; nominations can come from government agencies, corporate or public groups, or academic institutions. The identity of the nominees is kept private.
