GERMAN Embassy Micro Projects Grants 2024 South Africa     | Funding up to €25,000 euros |

The German Embassy wants to help NGOs/NPOs and other civil society organisations support underprivileged, marginalised, or transitioning populations through the Micro-Project Scheme.

Grant:

Your project may be eligible for funding of up to €25,000 if it meets the guidelines’ requirements.

Sectors:

The following South African sectors are the main focus of the support:

  • Women’s Rights
  • Anti-Discrimination in all forms
  • Just Energy Transition
  • Local Economic Development/Alternative Livelihoods

Eligibility:

Describe your organisation’s membership, finances, and other details:

Give a brief synopsis of your group, mentioning its membership and funding history.

  • Emphasize completed projects to demonstrate your company’s expertise and ability.
  • Provide a thorough financial analysis of the project, taking into account the contributions made by your organisation, prospective funding from donors, membership fees, and any expenditures for land or other resources.
  • Project timetable and location: To give context and clarity, indicate the project’s intended timeframe and location.
  • Describe the project (target group, etc.) for which you are seeking funding:
  • Give a clear description of the project, including information about the target audience and its goals, for which you are requesting funding.
  • Provide a thorough financial estimate for the project, taking into account the property, membership dues, donor contributions, and project’s own contributions:

Guidelines:

Please be advised that the following costs are not covered by funding:

  • Pay for staff members at your company
  • Travel and administrative expenses
  • Recurring and general operating costs
  • Purchasing land or allocating loans, for example.
