The 12-month African Union Digital and Innovation Fellowship Programme is a comprehensive effort aimed at identifying and assigning highly qualified tech innovators from throughout the continent to different departments and organs inside the African Union headquarters.
As “resident fellows,” chosen fellows will live and work in these units to obtain a thorough understanding of their systems. Their main responsibility will be to identify problems with data management in these systems and work with relevant parties to create creative, tailored solutions.
The GIZ DataCipation programme of the BMZ Commission, which aims to assist the African Union and its organs in improving their citizen involvement and successfully carrying out their mandate, is what makes this fellowship programme possible.
