The Turkish Trade Minister reported a 4.1 percent rise in March exports at $22.58 billion.
Trade Minister Omer Bolat reported $20 billion in exports in January and $21.1 billion in February.
Imports fell 5.7 percent year-over-year to $30.09 billion. This reduced the international trade imbalance by 10.3% year-over-year.
Export-import coverage rose 1.3 percent to 75 percent over the same time, according to the data.
Additionally, the Ministry noted a strong current account deficit reduction in recent months. The deficit fell by $22.6 billion from $60.1 billion in May 2023 to $37.5 billion in January 2024.
