The 18th Japan International MANGA Award 2024 is currently accepting applications. This fully financed opportunity is intended for artists who have a strong passion for manga and comic books. This worldwide prize was established in 2007 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the goal of using MANGA culture to advance global understanding. The winners’ trips to Japan for the award presentation will be completely covered. The MANGA Gold Award, three Silver Awards, and roughly eleven Bronze Awards are among the awards given out. During their 7-day stay, winners can also experience Japanese culture. This is your chance—apply right away!
Eligibility Criteria:
- Manga submissions must be longer than sixteen pages overall.
- For this worldwide award, artwork that has been published or unpublished is eligible.
- Submission of already selected works for any award is prohibited.
- Submissions for MANGA must have been made in the previous three years (2021–2024).
- Submissions cannot violate the intellectual property rights of third parties.
- The applicant alone must have created all of the submitted work.
- AI or comparable tool entries won’t be allowed unless the applicant discloses them clearly.
- Submissions must be made in PDF or hard copy.
- Each candidate may only submit one entry.
- Candidates cannot be Japanese nationals.
