Democratic civic involvement is hampered by repression and limitations while development issues continue in many Asian countries. Amidst growing authoritarian inclinations, this tendency poses questions about female rights, social justice, inequality, and the additional burden of climate change. In a world when human rights are being undermined, democracies are deteriorating, and civic engagement is decreasing, it is critical to equip the upcoming generation of leaders with compassion.
