The World Around Young Climate Prize 2025

Entries for the 2025 World Around Young Climate Prize are now being accepted! This esteemed global prize was established by the New York-based nonprofit The World Around. It is intended for young designers and activists who have grown up in the face of the climate catastrophe and are dedicated to tackling its issues. This prize is open to youth worldwide and encourages the submission of ideas and projects that address climate-related challenges. The design community’s leading personalities will mentor the chosen applicants, enabling them to expand their influence and connect with like-minded people around the world.

From the pool of candidates, twenty-five finalists—all under the age of twenty-five—will be chosen to receive life-changing mentorship. In 2025, three winners will get the chance to present their work at the esteemed Annual Summit of The World Around in New York City. Mentors will lead mentees through a series of sessions, encouraging project enhancement and innovation. Mentors will be selected from The World Around’s prestigious group of Design Champions.

Apart from receiving individualised mentoring, participants will take part in a virtual academy called Design Academy, which will cover a range of topics like graphic design, marketing, fundraising, communications, and filmmaking. Every weekend, these seminars provide opportunity for peer connections within the cohort in addition to imparting vital skills. The online mentorship sessions and academy programs will be available from September through December of 2024.
