Great news for reporters! Applications for the Nova Media Fellowship Program 2024 are now being accepted. With this fellowship, journalists and media professionals from print, broadcast, and digital media platforms have an amazing opportunity to learn more about the field of health. The 2024 Media Fellowship, which is supported by the Nova Institute for Health as a component of their Media Fellows Program, intends to improve the volume and calibre of print and web publications as well as broadcasts by offering thorough coverage of health that is based on scientific principles. Ensuring accurate reporting on pertinent ideas, questions, and conversations in the field is the aim.
Journalists in 2024 will support Solutions Journalism by taking part in the Nova Media Fellowship, which aims to stop the spread of false information, especially in the fields of science and health communication. This fellowship enables fellows to investigate, study, and disseminate issues relevant to the health landscape by providing them with focused time and resources to work on their suggested projects. Furthermore, the $100,000 annual grant from the Nova Institute for Health Fellowship is completely financed. Up to $7,500 in travel expenditures may be requested, with reimbursement for such costs determined by Nova’s policies. This funding helps with living expenses, project-related expenses, conference fees, and health insurance, among other things.
This media fellowship offers a fantastic chance to pursue a fellowship without having to worry about money. Media Fellows will have editorial independence for the full twelve months, starting in fall 2024, as they work on their projects. Additionally, the Media Fellowship program at the Nova Institute for Health seeks to increase public awareness of the interdependencies among human, environmental, and planetary health. This journalism fellowship gives fellows the ability to make a major contribution to the conversation on health and well-being by expanding media coverage on a range of health-related topics. Two candidates will be chosen as 2024 Media Fellows from a pool of six to eight shortlisted fellows. Therefore, take advantage of this fellowship opportunity and apply right away if you work in journalism or the media!
