Photography 4 Humanity Global Prize Competition 2024

The 2024 Global Contest, spearheaded by Photography 4 Humanity, promotes climate justice. They look for pictures that show people who are impacted by the growing effects of climate change and emphasize that it is a human rights issue. Along with pictures of climate activists and initiatives to stop climate change, they support the portrayal of vulnerable groups, such as women, indigenous peoples, island communities, and refugees affected by climate change.

With the launch of Photography 4 Humanity, Right Here, Right Now urged photographers everywhere to use their art to highlight human rights concerns. These images are meant to elicit action and support for human rights on a personal and societal level by means of powerful portrayals of bravery, despair, injustice, and compassion. In 2022, a global picture campaign on climate change was initiated by Right Here, Right Now and Photography 4 Humanity. The final display had its debut at the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit and was later shown on Human Rights Day at the UN. It was widely publicized in 2023 thanks to UN.org.

The Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance, which is supported by the IPCC, combines human rights with climate action to promote development that is climate resilient. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and other eminent scientists welcome this alliance, which emphasizes how urgent it is to confront climate change as a human rights concern.
