The CICOPS Scholarship Program 2025 (Fully Funded)

Please submit if you are an academic or researcher from a developing country who would want to work with a professor at the University of Pavia on a collaborative research project. An official invitation letter endorsing the candidate is required in order for their application to be considered; applications without this letter will not be reviewed.

Candidates must to have at least two years of experience as teachers or involvement in foreign organizations and institutions.

The purpose of CICOPS scholarships is to support the mobility of researchers from developing countries by facilitating short-term research collaborations (as per World Bank Classification). Applicants who are enrolled in postgraduate or doctoral programs at Italian universities are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience or active participation in international organizations and institutions is required of applicants.
  • Candidates that meet the eligibility requirements include junior and senior university employees from developing nations, as well as personnel from renowned research institutions and foreign organizations that focus on development studies.
  • In order to encourage the mobility of researchers from developing nations, CICOPS scholarships give priority to short-term research collaborations.
  • Note: Those who are enrolled in doctoral or postgraduate programs at Italian universities are not qualified.

Eligible Regions: Open for All

Benefits:

  • Travel costs, lodging, meals, health insurance, and a weekly stipend of €150.00 (gross) are all covered by the CICOPS scholarship.
  • The chosen scholars will also be provided with support for booking flights, obtaining a visa, and housing in a university residence hall.
