The International Organization for Migration, or IOM, is a division of the United Nations that was established in 1951. The IOM, the premier international organization dealing with issues related to migration, invites applications for its Diversity and Inclusion Internship Program each year. There are nearly 600 internship opportunities at IOM offices around the world, and hundreds of interns join each year. The majority of internships are located in Geneva, Switzerland, and these offices support governments in controlling migratory flows.
Undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates are all eligible to apply for the internships. Understanding the financial obstacles associated with traveling to its headquarters in Switzerland, the IOM Diversity and Inclusion Internship Program pays for travel, lodging, meals, and visa fees.
