The Italian Government (MAECI) Scholarship for 2024–25 is already accepting applications, as announced with great pleasure by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI). Foreign students and Italian residents living overseas who wish to enrol in Master’s and PhD programs at Italian public universities can apply for this award. The MAECI Scholarship’s main goal is to further the promotion of Italian language and culture. Applications are accepted from 139 nations, and this year’s list is longer.
The scholarship program is designed to help worthy students who are struggling financially. It will run for nine months. It includes health insurance, assistance for college fees, and a monthly allowance. Scholarships are awarded in four areas of study: research under faculty supervision, Ph.D. programs, courses of higher education in the arts, music, and dance (AFAM), and master’s degrees. Online applications only through the “Study in Italy” website are accepted. More information about the requirements for eligibility and the application procedure is provided below.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree successfully in order to be admitted to a master’s program.
- The age requirement for master’s program applicants is 28 years of age or under at the time of application.
- The age limit for candidates interested in a PhD program is 30 at the time of application.
- It is necessary to have shown English competence, which can be obtained through the IELTS exam or a comparable language certification like an English competence language certificate.
Benefits:
- Tuition and enrollment fees are waived.
- MAECI offers health, medical, and accident insurance.
- A nine thousand euro grant that was distributed in three instalments:
- There is an upfront payment of 4,500 euros.
- The 2500 euros that make up the second instalment.
- The entire amount of the third and final instalment is 2000 euros.
