A joint effort by Cisco and I4G, the Cisco/I4G Cybersecurity Scholarship aims to educate African students and assist them in pursuing employment in the quickly expanding technology sector. Ten thousand African youngsters are to receive cybersecurity training and support as they pursue jobs in the field under the Cisco/I4G Cybersecurity Scholarship.
For those who are interested, this page will provide comprehensive details on the scholarship and walk them through the application procedure.
Cybersecurity Ventures reported that in 2021, there were 3.5 million open cybersecurity positions, up from 1 million in 2013.
Due to a shortage of qualified candidates, many of these posts are still unfilled. Forecasts suggest that in 2025, the number of positions will remain unchanged.
The goal of Ingressive for Good (I4G) is to provide young Africans with computer skills so they can support the continent’s social and economic advancement. To address the notable differences in African IT ecosystems, I4G was founded.
The group provides partial scholarships to financially disadvantaged final-year technology students attending prestigious African institutions. A laptop is also included in this financial assistance to help with their schooling. Each recipient of a scholarship automatically joins the I4G Alumni network.
