The 2024 EcoBank Fintech Challenge is currently accepting applications, and those who are interested are encouraged to submit one.
A $50,000 prize is being offered by the EcoBank Fintech Challenge to Africans who can create novel solutions to address the needs of the continent’s population.
The eligibility requirements, advantages, and application procedure for the EcoBank Fintech Challenge are all described in depth in this post. All firms that provide cutting-edge solutions to meet the requirements of the African population and its diaspora are eligible to apply for the Ecobank Fintech Challenge. There are two primary goals for this initiative:
1. Throughout Ecobank’s 33 African markets, identify and assist Fintechs that are prepared to grow by offering resources, capital, alliances, and other support.
2. To improve Africa’s financial integration and economic development, take use of these pan-African Fintech success stories and their solutions.
The Ecobank Fintech Challenge identifies and collaborates with Fintechs that are ready to grow, providing them with chances and support throughout the 35 African markets that Ecobank serves. The intention is to support them development into possible Fintech success stories across Africa.

- Digital client onboarding for investment banking, SMEs/merchants, and consumers
- Increasing the size of our network’s payment wallets
- a comprehensive perspective of clients’ and prospects’ financial interactions with other financial organizations
- Digitization of SMEs’ loan application process Ecosystem Aggregation
- Onboarding of SME/Merchants and payment integration
- Mobile collections in conjunction with our Xpress point system; specialized merchant aggregation via sector-specific solutions; internal tools
- Digital tools to boost sales force productivity
- Mobile-to-mobile payments made offline (Dead Zones)
- Expanding the capacity of our payment wallet in the African setting
