For those looking for a fellowship, good news! A distinguished initiative of Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2025. It provides advanced research support for scholars and experts worldwide in the fields of Sinology, Taiwan, Asia-Pacific relations, and cross-strait interactions. Through this fellowship, intellectual interaction and mutual understanding are promoted by enabling foreign professors, researchers, doctorate candidates, and students to conduct research at a Taiwanese institution.
Completely supported, the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2024–25 provides a monthly stipend, round-trip travel, and accident insurance worth NT$1 million. The fellowship will begin in January 2025 and run for three to twelve months. Researchers in the social sciences and humanities have a fantastic opportunity to interact with Taiwanese academics and improve their research techniques.
More than 1400 academics from 93 nations have taken part since the program’s start. Additionally, the program provides 12 APEC Fellowships each year to students from developing APEC economies. To be eligible for the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship in 2024–2025, apply before the deadline.
