University of Minnesota Undergraduate Scholarship | Step-by-Step Process 2024

International students seeking a degree in the US can receive up to $60,000 through the University of Minnesota Undergraduate Scholarship. International freshman and transfer students wishing to enroll in the university’s degree program are eligible for the University of Minnesota Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates have to be foreign students.
  • Admission to an undergraduate degree program is required.
  • The University’s undergraduate courses qualify for this award.
  • Academic merit is the basis for scholarship awards.
  • In order to receive the scholarship, students must enroll in the Honors program full-time during the granted semester.
  • Exceptional personal success skills (such as emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.) must be demonstrated by applicants.
  • It is necessary to have your high school transcript and/or GSE results (a certified translation is also required if your transcript is not in English).
  • Candidates must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be highly driven, accountable, and capable of working independently in an organized manner.
  • Candidates must have an acceptance offer from the University for a full-time program.

Benefits:

  • International freshmen are eligible to apply for scholarships worth $25,000, $15,000, or $10,000 annually for a maximum of four years beginning with the 2023–2024 school year.
  • For a maximum of three years, transfer students enrolled in the fall semester are eligible to receive $10,000 annually.
  • Scholarships for transfer students starting in the spring semester will be awarded based on available funds.
