Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program 2025

Offering an average of $35,000 per year, the 2025–2026 Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program provides full funding for master’s and PhD programs undertaken by overseas students. The purpose of this scholarship is to train employees from La Francophonie’s developing nations in order to increase organizational capability. Since January 1, 2015, the World University Service of Canada consortium and the Canadian Bureau for International Education have been in charge of managing the program, which is fully supported by the Canadian government.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Those that make the cut can apply for short-term internships, technical and vocational courses, master’s and doctoral degrees.
  • Recipient country institutions run internal recruiting drives to find applicants who will most likely strengthen their institution’s capabilities when they return.
  • Excluded is clinical training in dentistry, medicine, and pharmacy.
  • Each recipient country sets its own training priorities and the minimum degree of training required for institutional growth, and candidates are chosen according to quotas.

Eligible Countries: Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Djibouti, Mauritania, Comoros, & Other Countries are from Africa.

Benefits:

  • The financing amount is $35,000 on average per year.
