For the autumn 2024–25 cohort in Germany, the Westerwelle Foundation is starting its Young Founders Program (YFP). This global fellowship offers a stage for aspiring business owners all over the world to present their ventures. Through a six-month remote fellowship, access to new company prospects, mentorship from successful entrepreneurs, and participation in a fully paid five-day conference in Berlin, the YFP seeks to promote entrepreneurial success.
The program looks for driven young executives who want to promote sustainable development in emerging economies and who have strong business strategies. The Westerwelle Foundation is committed to fostering an environment that is conducive to economic growth and assisting businesses, with a particular focus on entrepreneurs from Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

Eligibility Criteria:
- This German fellowship is open to applicants from all developing and rising nations.
- Within the last five years, the candidate should have founded a for-profit business with an emphasis on developing or emerging markets.
- The business needs to have a lucrative business plan that brings in a lot of money, or it needs to have raised outside capital in the first round.
- For the applicant to be eligible for the YFP fellowship 2024–2025, their startup or business must have a clear purpose and make an effect.
- A strong command of the English language is required of participants in order to be eligible for the fellowship.
- For the full six-month fellowship term, applicants must be available for conferences, meetings, and other events.
