The goal of the University of Toronto Equity Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for medical professionals and students to attend the 2024 Family Medicine Forum (FMF). Successful applicants in any category will have their individual registration expenses covered by the CMPA Equity Scholarship.
This article will describe the scholarship in depth and offer a step-by-step tutorial on how to submit a successful application. An Equity Scholarship has been established by the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) to assist doctors and physician trainees who identify as Black, Indigenous, or racially marginalized in their attendance at the 2024 Family Medicine Forum (FMF).
EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion) is the CMPA’s mission. We recognize that minority medical conference attendees suffer systemic obstacles, injustices, and financial difficulties.
In order to tackle these concerns, we are dedicated to augmenting the prospects for members of equity-deserving communities to make research and knowledge contributions to the healthcare domain.
