The EU Blue Book Traineeship Program 2025 is a distinctive opportunity for students to acquire significant job experience in the European Union. Participants in this twice-yearly, five-month paid traineeship can contribute to many EU entities while earning a monthly stipend. In order to hone their abilities in a global setting, trainees will work on actual projects in fields like environmental policy, human resources, and competition law.

Through attending meetings, working in groups, and attending public hearings, participants will learn about how the EU operates. Eligibility Criteria:

  • All EU citizens, regardless of age, are eligible to apply for the Blue Book traineeship; however, some posts are only open to non-EU citizens.
  • The completion of a full bachelor’s cycle, a regular three-year higher education degree (180 credit hours), or an equivalent degree is a requirement for eligibility.
  • Candidates must either have a degree completion certificate or official university validation of their degree.
  • Prior employment experience, unless it was six weeks or less, is not permitted within the EU Commission, its bodies or agencies, delegations, members of the European Parliament, or Advocate Generals at EUCJ.
  • It is necessary to be fluent in any two of the official EU languages.
  • Candidates with an international profile as evidenced by their overseas education, employment, or volunteer activities will be given special consideration.
