In order to assist international high school graduates in getting ready for undergraduate education, Shandong University (SDU) is creating the 2024 Undergraduate Preparatory Scholarship Program. This program provides comprehensive academic and linguistic study in Chinese for six months to a year. Chinese language classes, major preparation, professional Chinese training, and HSK skill improvement are all included in the program.
Non-Chinese citizens in good health with a high school diploma or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the program. For the one-year program beginning in September 2024, no prior Chinese proficiency is required; however, for the one-semester program beginning in February 2025, an HSK 3 certificate is required. For exceptional students, there are scholarships available, such as the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, the Shandong University Scholarship, and the Chinese Government Scholarship. Applications are accepted from March 15, 2024, to June 30, 2024, for the one-year program, and from October 15, 2024, to December 31, 2024, for the one-semester program.

Applicant Requirements:
- International students who are in good physical and mental health are required.
- must possess a valid passport from their own nation and exhibit a friendly attitude toward China.
- must possess a spotless criminal history.
- must hold a high school diploma or a qualification that is equivalent.
Language Requirements:
- Beginning in September 2024, there is no prerequisite for prior Chinese language competency for the full academic year curriculum.
- A score higher than 180 on the official HSK Level 3 certificate is necessary to enrol in the one-semester program that begins in February 2025.
