Applications for the University of Queensland Vice Chancellor Scholarship from qualified local and international students wishing to study in Australia are presently being accepted. Under the University of Queensland Scholarship, qualifying Australian and international students pursuing relevant undergraduate degrees at the university can receive $60,000 in study support.
Having won more Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) than any other Australian university, UQ places a high priority on teaching excellence. It also draws exceptional students from other states and countries, as well as the majority of Queensland’s top academic performers.
The goal of the University of Queensland Vice Chancellor Scholarship is to support and encourage overseas students who are enrolled or want to enroll in a degree program at the Australian university.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, a component of the UQ Academic Scholarship program, was founded in 2009 and is supported by donations and funding from The University of Queensland.
Eligibility Criteria:
- be a present or prospective UQ student, whether domestic or foreign.
- In year twelve studies, obtain a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of 99.00 (or equivalent).
- finish year 12 or have finished it during the two years before the award year.
- have only ever participated in Year 11–12 coursework (such as the Enhanced coursework Program) as their only previous postsecondary education.
- Apply through QTAC for a tertiary slot, designating UQ as your top priority.
- Plan to start an undergraduate program at UQ full-time in 2025 (or 2026 if you’re delaying a post-secondary place).
- have not completed any postsecondary education at the bachelor’s degree level or above before enrolling in the programs on the list (new students).
- Never accept a scholarship from someone else that the director considers
