Applications for the 2024 DAAD Rosa Luxemburg Scholarship are currently being accepted by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation from eligible applicants. An annual grant of €16,800 is awarded as part of the fully financed Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Scholarship to cover living and research costs, including health benefits.

International and domestic students can now apply for the 2024 DAAD Rosa Luxemburg Scholarship.
International students seeking a doctorate or undertaking doctoral research in Germany are eligible to apply for scholarships from the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (RLF), a political education organization connected to DIE LINKE (The Left Party).
The Foundation’s political ideals—social justice and solidarity in particular—are the basis for awarding the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria:
- enrolled in a German state-run or state-approved higher education program
- Under the direction of a German university lecturer
- having an excellent graduate degree
- demonstrated involvement in society that is consistent with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation’s ideals
- German proficiency at least at the B2 level (proof necessary)

Benefits:
- A monthly stipend of 1,450 EUR is awarded to doctoral candidates, in addition to a 100 EUR mobility allowance and health care subsidies if required.
- The two-year scholarship has the potential for two 6-month extensions for technical or academic reasons, as well as an additional yearlong extension for illness, disability, or parental leave.
