Are you prepared to tour Europe for five months? Every year, the European Commission grants a compensated 5-month traineeship. The European Commission Blue Book Traineeship 2025 is now accepting applications for its March 2025 session. While some posts are reserved for non-EU nationals, the traineeship is open to all EU citizens. The program will be held in the Traineeships Office of the European Commission in Belgium and Luxembourg, with a preference given to applicants who have never held a job.
The entire cost of this fully subsidized traineeship is covered. Applications are welcome from undergraduate students and recent bachelor’s degree recipients; however, a limited number of spots are held for students pursuing master’s degrees. Eligibility Criteria:
- All EU citizens are welcome, while a small number of seats are reserved for those who are not.
- Candidates must possess a normal three-year degree from an accredited university.
- Any form of prior work experience is not necessary.
- Candidates need to speak English fluently.
- There is no need for the TOEFL or IELTS exams.
- The trainees will work 40 hours a week, or five 8-hour days.
- Each month, trainees are entitled to two paid days off.
- The traineeships have no upper age limit for participation.
Benefits:
- There is no cost for applicants to the European Blue Book Traineeship Program. The EU Commission will discuss:
- A monthly stipend of €1376 is given at the conclusion of each month.
- Payment of the visa’s expenses.
- Payment of medical expenses.
- Payment for travel-related costs (tickets for flights).
- Note: The Commission does not pay for lodging costs.
