SJPL Rhodes Scholarships 2025 in UK (Fully Funded)

The SJPL Rhodes Scholarships 2025 in the UK are now accepting applications. The goal of this fully financed scholarship is to assist students from Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria in their pursuit of an Oxford University master’s or doctoral degree.

This esteemed international postgraduate scholarship, founded by Cecil Rhodes (1853–1902) and overseen by the Rhodes Trust, pays students all costs for the 2025 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Countries of Eligibility: Candidates must be citizens of Palestine, Syria, Jordan, or Lebanon.
  • Age Requirements (effective October 1, 2024):
  • Candidates must have been born on or before October 1, 2006, and must be at least 18 years old but not yet 24 (born after October 1, 2000).
  • Alternately, candidates who are older and obtained their undergraduate degree later than typical are required to meet the standards for earning their first degree on or after October 1, 2023, and they must be under 27 years old (born after October 1, 1997) in order to qualify.
  • Academic prerequisites:
  • Candidates must have earned an undergraduate degree with first class honors or a minimum GPA of 3.70 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) and have completed or will complete their degree by June/July 2025. Keep in mind that certain Oxford courses can have more prerequisites. Those that succeed usually finish in the top half of their graduating classes.
  • Proficiency in the English Language:
  • In order to satisfy the English language competence standards of the University of Oxford, applicants must exhibit a high enough level of English.

  • Fees for Universities and Colleges: The scholarship covers all costs associated with universities and colleges.
  • Application Fee for University: The application fee to the university is covered.
  • Living Stipend: £16,218 is the annual living allowance given to recipients.
  • Travel Charges:
  • The scholarship will include one economy class ticket to Oxford at the outset.
  • Upon completion of the scholarship, the student will get one return economy ticket to their home nation.
