The free, entirely online University of Oxford Global Youth Training Program builds capacity and gives participants, ages 16 to 35, the skills and self-assurance they need to participate in global climate policy.
Those that are accepted will also be supported financially for COP29 attendance. Up to £3000 is awarded as a bursary to cover travel, lodging, meals, and transportation.
We will go over the requirements, advantages, and step-by-step application process for this program in this post. Launched in May 2023, the University of Oxford Global Youth Training Program seeks to shed more light on the UNFCCC’s negotiation tracks in advance of COP28.
This youth training program is a radical open access and inclusion trial; all recordings are available on YouTube, and there is no cost to attend the course. The training will be available in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese thanks to a partnership between the organizers and Eco Interpreters.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The program is mainly intended for candidates who are capable of going to COP29 but are unable to due to financial constraints.
- Applicants from various locations and groups most affected by climate change will be given priority.
