An open grant competition is being held by the Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Mission to ASEAN (USASEAN), which is a division of the U.S. Department of State, to organize and carry out the 2024 ASEAN Reporters Tour. The approximate dates and duration of this tour are adjustable and are set for October 26, 2024, to November 7, 2024.The second edition of a USASEAN-funded program designed to build a network and a shared identity among journalists from every Association of Southeast Asian Nations member state is called the 2024 ASEAN Reporters Tour. The program will offer insightful information on a range of topics from reliable sources. Along with highlighting the beneficial economic ties between the US and ASEAN, this year’s tour will concentrate on cutting-edge innovations in cybersecurity, AI, and digital economy. It will also demonstrate the ways in which the public and business sectors in the United States work with and assist ASEAN and its member nations. The program should support participants in accordance with DEIA principles and include these concepts into its messaging and interactions.

Applications from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste can apply.
Eligible Regions: ASEAN Countries.
Benefits:
The funding pays for the 12 participants’ airfare, accommodations, meals (which may be given on widely recognized prepaid credit cards in the US), and other incidental travel expenses. This covers all of the travel arrangements for going from Bangkok to the US, staying in the US, and returning to Bangkok. There is no transportation included from any ASEAN member state to Bangkok. In order to guarantee that accessibility is offered when needed, the budget should also include money for any relevant demands related to accessibility.
