Applications for the 2024 University of Pretoria Masters Scholarship are now being accepted from qualified foreign and African students. Successful applicants may apply for the fully financed University of Pretoria Masters Scholarship to study for a postgraduate Master’s degree in South Africa. This two-year program combines online learning with residential block-weeks in Pretoria, offering a mixed learning experience. The Master’s degree (LLM/MPhil) in Sexual & Reproductive Rights in Africa (SRRA) for the Class of 2025 is currently taking applications. The Center for Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, South Africa, is offering the program.
People with a variety of professional backgrounds, such as attorneys, advocates, researchers, social activists, and educators, are welcome to apply for this program.
Every year, there will be two one-week contact sessions planned, for a total of four contact sessions spread over two years.
Eligibility Criteria:
- LLM Degree Conditions
- Available to anybody holding an LLB degree or its equivalent.
- MPhil Degree Qualifications
- Accepting applications from non-lawyers who have completed at least an honors program in a subject area related to sexual and reproductive rights in Africa.
- Additional pertinent requirements
- South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) regulations apply to foreign degrees, and a SAQA evaluation certificate is required for university entrance.
- Candidates must exhibit experience with or an interest in human rights, in addition to having strong academic qualifications.
- For the academic year 2025, a maximum of fifteen students will be accepted.
